Greetings from the Director

Welcome to the G-LAMP Project Group at Ewha Womans University.


I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone visiting the official website of the G-LAMP (Learning & Academic research institution for Master’s and Ph.D. students, and Postdocs) Project Group at Ewha Womans University.


In this era of the "Great AI Transformation," we are witnessing an explosive growth in demand for research and development. Our Project Group is dedicated to maximizing Ewha’s research capabilities by consolidating internal expertise across all academic disciplines. Our goal is to foster innovative research outcomes powered by Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.


To achieve this, we have established the following strategic objectives:

1.    Establishment of a robust management and support system to nurture world-class research institutions.

  1. 2.    Cultivation of a research and industry-academic ecosystem where interdisciplinary and international collaborative research becomes a daily standard.

  2. 3.    Identification and development of emerging researchers in the field of Human-Centric AI.


Our key thematic research institute, the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (AIRI), was founded with the mission to realize the common good for humanity and create high added value through interdisciplinary AI convergence across diverse domains. AIRI focuses on:

1.    Contributing to global academic excellence in Mathematical and Statistical-based AI theory.

  • 2.    Enhancing practical application and safety through High-Reliability AI technology.

  • 3.    Solving social issues through the development of Human-Centric integrated systems.


Through these efforts, we look forward to nurturing AI specialists equipped with ethics and fairness, and expanding AI literacy across all sectors of society.

Supported by the Ministry of Education’s G-LAMP program, our Project Group will work closely with AIRI and other campus engineering research institutes. We are committed to academic advancement and social contribution through the evolution of Artificial Intelligence.
