2025 Special Lecture Series – Lecture 11: Ms. Jooyoung Jeon (November 17)

The 11th Special Lecture of the 2025 Series hosted by the Hazard Literacy Convergence Education Research Center will be held online via Zoom on Monday, November 17, from 15:30 to 16:30 (KST).
In this session, Ms. Jooyoung Jeon, lecturer at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, will deliver a talk titled: "The Challenges and Joys of Teaching Environmental Science to Non-Science Majors." Based on her extensive experience teaching environmental science to students outside the science disciplines, Ms. Jeon will share key challenges, pedagogical strategies, and moments of meaningful engagement in the classroom.
This lecture will offer valuable insights for educators seeking to make science education more inclusive and relevant in the era of climate crisis.
