With the vision of “fostering citizens’ hazard literacy through the popularization of hazard science”, the center has set the following objectives for its establishment.
VISION: Enhancing Citizens’ Hazard Literacy through the Popularization of Hazard Science
1. To foster fundamental knowledge and competencies among the general public and students to effectively respond to global hazards.
2. To facilitate dialogue with the general public and students regarding rigorous scientific research for hazard prevention and risk mitigation.
3. To cultivate researchers and practitioners capable of advancing the dissemination of hazard science and hazard education.
