The Department of Statistics’ mission is to educate students and engender a broad knowledge base in basic statistics, in accordance with the needs of the times, and producing high quality female resources who can apply statistical knowledge in solving real world problems.

Students majoring in Statistics learn how to analyze various kinds of natural, social and economic phenomena based on information contained in the form of data and learn how to make science-based decisions.
