Asian Studies Concentration 인정 과목 추가 안내 (GKS)


2028년 2월 졸업생부터 Asian Studies Concentration 인정 과목이 아래와 같이 추가되어 안내드립니다.


기존에는 중국어, 일본어 및 한국어 관련 교과목에 한하여 일부 과목을 Concentration 과목으로 인정하였으나, 글로벌한국학(Global Korean Studies) 관련 교과목이 Asian Studies Concentration 인정 과목으로 추가되었습니다.



■ 추가 인정 과목 (총 6과목)

  • 38841 Korea from Antiquity to 1900

  • 37554 Understanding Korean Religion

  • 37561 North Korean Society and Culture

  • 38842 Twentieth-century Korea: Historical Perspectives

  • 37562 Everyday Life in Modern Korea

  • 37564 Korean Film and Media Studies




※ Asian Studies의 경우, 위 과목들을 포함한 중국어·일본어·한국어·글로벌한국학 관련 교과목을 <최대 9학점까지> Concentration 과목으로 인정합니다. (단, DIS 전공학점으로는 인정되지 않음)


※ 본 변경사항은 2028년 2월 졸업생부터 적용됩니다.


※ Concentration 이수 관련 안내
Concentration 이수는 졸업 필수요건은 아니나, 이수 완료 시 국제학부장 명의의 concentration 수료증이 발급됩니다. 

각 concentration 당 18학점 이상 취득하여야 하며, 최대 2개의 concentration까지 이수 가능합니다. 

자세한 사항은 기존 concentration 이수 안내를 참고하시기 바랍니다.


Addition of Asian Studies Concentration Courses (GKS)


Please be informed that, beginning with students graduating in February 2028, additional courses will be recognized for the Asian Studies Concentration as follows.


Previously, only selected Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language-related courses were recognized as concentration courses. Global Korean Studies (GKS) courses have now been added as recognized courses for the Asian Studies Concentration.



■ Newly Recognized Courses (6 Courses)

  • 38841 Korea from Antiquity to 1900

  • 37554 Understanding Korean Religion

  • 37561 North Korean Society and Culture

  • 38842 Twentieth-century Korea: Historical Perspectives

  • 37562 Everyday Life in Modern Korea

  • 37564 Korean Film and Media Studies




※ For the Asian Studies Concentration, Chinese-, Japanese-, Korean-, and Global Korean Studies-related courses, including the courses listed above, may be recognized as concentration courses for up to <9 credits>.
(Please note that these credits will not count toward DIS major credits.)


※ This change will apply starting from students graduating in February 2028.


※ Information on Concentration Completion
Completion of a concentration is not a graduation requirement. However, students who complete a concentration will receive a concentration certificate issued under the name of the Dean of the Division of International Studies. 

Students must complete at least 18 credits for each concentration, and up to two concentrations may be completed.
