The College of Pharmacy offers compulsory and advanced courses on practical experience, in which students will reaffirm the pharmaceutical knowledge learned in the classroom and acquire clinical experience through practice.
The compulsory practical experience consists of three courses: hospital pharmacy experience (ten weeks), pharmaceutical industry and drug-related administrative work experience (two weeks) and community pharmacy experience (five weeks). The three courses are made mandatory in order to allow students to understand and gain experience in the diverse roles of pharmacists in various fields.
The advanced practical experience consists of three courses: hospital pharmacy experience (15 weeks), pharmaceutical industry and drug-related administrative work experience (15 weeks) and research (15 weeks). Students may select one of the three advanced courses in order to understand the role of pharmacists in the development of new drugs, and gain in-depth knowledge of research methods.
