2. Proposal and Confirmation for the Establishment of the Center (Dec, 2019 - Apr, 2020)
• Proposed the center as an affiliated research center within the College of Education by preparing its objectives, organizational structure, and regulations (December 2019).
• Formed a faculty team with diverse specializations from the Departments of Science Education and Social Studies Education.
• Obtained final approval from the university board of directors in accordance with the institute establishment procedures (April 2020).
3. Launch of the Center (May 1, 2020)
• Officially launched <Hazard Literacy Center> (May 1, 2020).
• Appointed Professor Donghee Shin from the Department of Science Education as the inaugural director.
4. Academic Activities as a Newly Established Institute (May 1, 2020 - )
• Signed MOUs with domestic and international disaster-related organizations.
• Sought collaborative relationships with overseas scholars in the field of hazards.
• Conducted academic activities such as seminars.
