• Disability and Society

This course is an introductory course of Disability Studies which is designed to help undergraduate students from various majors strengthen their sense of social responsibility and community spirit. It fosters sensitivity, acceptance, and advocacy toward individuals and groups at risk of being socially devalued. By providing accurate knowledge and understanding of disabilities, the course cultivates the critical thinking skills necessary to challenge prevalent prejudices, stereotypes, and discrimination, positioning disability issues as universal social concerns. Ultimately, this course contributes to developing the foundational perspectives and capabilities required of global leaders and citizens in the 21st century, enabling students to embrace diversity and approach problems through a multidisciplinary lens..
