• Behavior Management for Students with Special Needs

This course provides basic knowledge and skills regarding theoretical perspectives and best intervention methods for addressing behavioral issues and challenging behaviors in both students with and without disabilities. It advocates a perspective of positive behavioral supports. It covers an introductory contents of behavioral psychology that include the essential terminology, concepts, instructional and basic research methods required to understand major coursework in behavioral intervention, special education and experimental research papers. 

• Educational Methods for Students with Severe Disabilities

Based on the fundamental belief in the educability of students with severe disabilities and the principles of community inclusion, this course promotes positive beliefs regarding the educational potential of students with severe disabilities. It teaches the knowledge, curriculum, and instructional methodologies necessary to design and implement optimal educational programs tailored to students' learning characteristics and environmental conditions. The scope of severe disabilities includes moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and severe emotional and behavioral disorders.
